Simplexity
‘Simplexity’ – a short piece for 9 dancers – is a commissioned work by the Zurich University of the Arts (ZHdK).
The quest was to create a new movement language, influenced by the dancers’ and the choreographer’s dance background. The language grew into a characteristic relation between simplicity and complexity, and offers an original blend of contemporary and breaking (breakdance) dance technique.
For this piece, my interest is not in dance styles, but in movement language. This creates freedom in the thinking and feeling. A space for new potentials. (Lucas)
