miniMIR – Dance Education for Children
The established Basel-based MIR Dance Company (Basel, CH), directed by Béatrice Goetz, passes on its wealth of experience to the next generation and enables Basel primary school pupils to develop personally through dance.
The socio-cultural and low-threshold dance project miniMIR takes place annually. The professional dance educators and the choreographer of the MIR Company teach children from mostly less privileged parents. After two semesters, at the end of the school year, a full-evening piece is performed at the Kaserne Basel theatre.
In the 2025/26 season, the miniMIR project will celebrate its 20th anniversary.
